I’m Christine Collins and I am Onion People Development.

Onion PD came in to being at the turn of the millennium. Before that my career had taken me on a journey from baked beans to fashion, beginning as a Graduate Trainee at Sainsburys, where I quickly developed management skills and first found a love of Learning and Development. Moving on I went to Etam and then Jaeger, Coats Viyella, where I managed their Learning and Development. So I know what it’s like to be a client, delivering management development programmes, introducing performance management, coaching and mentoring. I worked closely with senior management to support people through periods of change.

My clients are a diverse group, ranging from telecoms and technology to FMCG, retail, pharmaceuticals and hospitality, but what they all have in common is a need to develop their people. For example, at Jamie Oliver, The Royal Household and Royal Automobile Club, I have delivered CMI Leadership qualifications. At Whistles, the Dulwich Picture Gallery and Text 100 I have delivered Senior Leadership Team Development programmes. At Spektrix, RPM and Phase Eight I have focused on modular development, offering a range of communication and management skills for example, presenting with impact, performance management, honest conversations and coaching skills.

I am accredited to use various tools, Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI) and My 360plus.

I am a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and hold an economics degree.
